Samhita Rao

Louisiana 2012 Middle School Student of the year, Samhita Rao of Glasgow Middle School is a shining example for other East Baton Rouge students. Rao has earned first place in social studies and science fairs, served as 2011 Youth Legislature Speaker of the House, is an East Indian Classical dance student and an accomplished pianist.

Brandon Hebert

East Baton Rouge Lab Academy English teacher Brandon Hebert has a 12-year teaching career and is active in the East Baton Rouge Parish Association of Educators and the National Council for Teachers of English. Brandon has twice won the Neighbors Federal Credit Union Brotherhood/Sisterhood Award and was Teacher of the Year in 2008 at Scotlandville High School.
